With fifteen years of experience working with clients, my overall approach is grounded in analytical psychology. Also known as contemporary Jungian psychology, analytical psychology is a rich tradition that holds the lifelong search for wholeness as not only the highest of arts, but as a necessary foundation for living a fulfilled daily life. I also use a blend of empirically validated treatments, including, interpersonal psychotherapy; brief psychodynamic techniques; the Gottman Method of couples therapy; emotion-focused and cognitive behavioral techniques; and assertiveness training.
I begin each working-relationship with a consultation period to determine how I can be most helpful to you. Whether you’re interested in depth work, performance-focused work, or couples therapy, we’ll take the time and space to understand your unique needs and experience.
If you have any questions about whether therapy is right for you, please feel free to contact me at dr.alexandra.guhde @ gmail.com.
